"How Regional Airports Can Support Community and Economic Development" is the title of the presentation at our Annual Information Forum to be held April 13, 2011 at the Doubletree Hotel and Conference Center in Bloomington. There will be a breakfast buffet at 7 a.m., followed by a presentation at 7:30. The event is Sponsored by the McLean County Regional Planning Commission, Central Illinois Regional Airport, City of Bloomington, Town of Normal and Economic Development Council of the Bloomington-Normal Area.
Michael Boyd, founder and president of Boyd Group International, Inc., has been confirmed as the speaker. Boyd Group is a world-renown aviation consulting firm based in suburban Denver, Colorado.
Michael Boyd is an expert in futurist aviation issues and is often called on by the national media to offer his input regarding events and trends affecting all aspects of the aviation industry. Mr. Boyd founded the company in 1984 after several years in the airline industry.
Boyd Group International has managed hundreds of projects for clients ranging from small airports to internationally-recognized companies in global aviation. Prior to starting his company, Mr. Boyd worked in executive positions with American Airlines, Braniff International, and Bar Harbor Airlines. He is a graduate of Michigan State University.
